The Green Land supports government institutions in their transition to ‘open by default’ and ‘open by design’. In the Netherlands, across the entire European Union, and sometimes much farther away. We are located centrally in the Netherlands in Utrecht, but on the road most of our time.

To us open data is a policy instrument, with which data holders can purposefully aim for impact in the policy areas that matter to them. That makes ‘open’ in ‘open data’ our focus, and because of that privacy and data protection are very important to us as well. We are more involved with how that changes organisations, processes and attitudes, than with technology. Open data enable people.

Currently we have openings for one or more junior consultants (f/m). We are looking for generalists looking to start in their first job after University. Your background can be in public administration, philosophy of science or ethics, information management, or creative technology or service design. We are a distributed network organisation, which means a pro-active attitude, and well developed empathy are important. You’ll support one or more of our four partners in The Green Land, working on our projects, and also will take an active rol in developing, designing and landing new client assignments, and increasing the range of tools and methods at our disposal. As a member of our team you will be involved with every aspect of our work, meaning you will be in frequent touch with our (international) clients. Therefore you have excellent language skills not just in Dutch, but also in English. Additional European language skills are very welcome.

Are you looking for your first position after completing your Master degree (for a minimum of three days per week)? Do you care about the quality of public governance, and are you eager to have a real impact on policy domains key to our society? Get in touch with us (a short e-mail to Ton and Frank with links to your website, LinkedIn profile and/or Twitter profile). We look forward to meeting you!

(We’re always looking for interns as well, including for legal or economic topics, so if that appeals more to you, or if you happen to know someone…..)
